Burlesque lingerie is not your everyday lingerie.  Such extraordinary lingerie with its unique, glamorous designs; such exaggerated garments and flattering shapes… it greatly enhances and accentuates a woman’s curves – you just don’t see that kind of fashion underwear at your regular lingerie shop.  If you did find any little snippets of lingerie that vaguely resembled the burlesque in style, I would be very surprised.  Yes there are corsets out there… and plenty of garter belts, sexy stockings and suspenders.  But where is the variety?  And the originality?  And if I asked you to find me a shop that sells long tulle burlesque bustle skirts – where would you start??
 
Buying burlesque lingerie must be done online.  You have very little choice.  But for that… you should be thankful.  That means less work for you - you get to see a vast selection of lingerie, including photos with women modelling your potential burlesque outfits, so you can visualise if this is really something that is ‘you’ or whether you are just toying with fulfilling your boyfriend’s fantasy of you becoming a stripper.
 
Burlesque lingerie can be worn as separate individual pieces of course… a stunning lace-up satin full-boned corset with jeans and high heels can make for the perfect casual, yet HOT, evening wear for a night out on the town.  You get to look ultra fashionable as well as superbly sexy and be the envy of all your girlfriends who wished they’d thought of wearing burlesque lingerie as ‘outer’ wear before you did. 
 
But there are three excuses to wear burlesque lingerie as an actual proper suit-like outfit, the way I see it.  Firstly, there’s that stripper show-girl thing we’ve just mentioned.  Plenty of scope to pop on the sequined under-bust waist cincher and matching long elbow-length gloves there (don’t forget the compulsory nipple tassels!)  Or, maybe you are planning to play dress up in the privacy if your own home where you will tease and tantalise your partner for a special night of wicked passion.  Or thirdly, you are going to a fancy dress party with a Burlesque theme.  Whatever the reason, they all allow for full-on burlesque lingerie experimentation so your duty is to enjoy every naughty little minute of it!
