Platform Shoes, High Heel Platforms, 6 Inch Platform Shoes
Platform shoes made Sally look taller. Just like wearing black pants made fat people look thinner. In actual fact she was barely 5 foot; she’d been considered short person material all her life. Even as a child she was observed as being a short child. So when she finally managed to look taller, by wearing platform shoes, Sally noted she was treated differently by others. And that made her feel a lot better. One could conclude therefore that platform shoes made her happy! Sally hated fat people. They could do something about it, she’d often think– so why don’t they? But her, she had no choice.
Platform shoes or any shoes with a heel would do. Her particular platform shoes were best for casual and for wearing to work. Sally worked at the post office so she stood on her feet most of the day dealing with people and their issues. Standing on her little box, behind the counter; nobody could tell she wasn’t a good decent height. And at least she could still be tall whilst maintaining comfort wearing her lovely double-layered rubber sole platform shoes. Sensible shoes… her mother called them. Sensible just coincidentally, because her actual priority was to not look short. Looking taller had become an art form and she had mastered it!
Larry wore platform shoes too. He concealed them of course, as men do – under long work pants. Larry was a mailman for the post office where Sally worked and one day they met and realised what they had in common – they were both short. And they both wore platform shoes to try and look… NOT short! One day they went shopping for shoes together. Sally wanted to find some high heeled platform shoes to wear to the post office Ball that was coming up. Only problem was… when she wore these new exciting platform shoes with the high stiletto heel… she was taller than Larry! Larry was shattered. He felt betrayed and upset but instead he told Sally he couldn’t go to the Ball because he had the flu. Sally was sad not to have Larry by her side but she was looking forward to wearing her new enormously heeled platform shoes and being the tallest she’d ever been. So she went to the Ball by herself.
Alone in his flat, Larry threw off his platform shoes and dialled a pizza. He started planning to move to another town and try a new life somewhere else. Somewhere where size didn’t matter… was there such a place? Then the doorbell rang - it was Sally. She no longer had her big giant platform shoes on. Instead she had two tickets to the latest Lord of the Rings movie and a voucher for a free game of paintball in the park. Together they were ten feet tall.
