Sexy Party Shoes, Sexy Party High Heels & Stiletto Shoes
Question: What sexy party shoes do you wear with a yellow cocktail frock? I have a friend’s cocktail party coming up THIS weekend and I need to find the right colour shoes to go with my new yellow cocktail dress. No pressure. I had one day left and was off to hit the shops with only one rule - I was not going home until I had the sexiest party shoes in town!
Yes I know I’ve left it til the last minute but it’s impossible to go shopping for sexy party shoes when you aren’t sure of the colour thing first. And yellow is so dam hard to co-ordinate with. A few weeks back, I made the mistake of taking my new boyfriend shopping with me. I’d just met him, fallen deeply in lust with him and I needed to impress. The mission then, was to have him watch me in the changing rooms, parading round in some beautiful, skimpy dresses and realise how lucky he was to be with an absolute goddess like me! I found the perfect little black dress but when they didn’t have my size, I tried one on in yellow instead. Long story short – stupid, hot stud of a man that he is…he sneakily went back and bought it for me thinking I wanted it. And now I have to wear it!
Sexy party shoes should be easy for a girl like me. I’m always out dancing, I love the club life. I’ve got every style of sexy heels you can think of but I’ve never accessorised yellow before. The first logical choice is a hot pair of black stilettos. Nice shiny patent leather with matching black leather handbag perhaps? But then considering my hair is black, I decided the look was way too bumblebee and dropped it pronto.
As far as sexy party shoes go – there are no hard and fast rules. I mean its not rocket science, surely I could come up with some ensemble that could make this yellow thing work? I wondered if a pair of strappy silver high heel shoes might work. Silver should go with everything, it was a given. It was not! The intense yellowness of the dress made the silver shoes just disappear into nothing. I needed to step things up a bit – the winning sexy party shoes needed to be obvious.
How about a gold pair of sexy stilettos? Team it up with gold everything – gold shoes and lots of shiny gold jewellery dripping off me. Nup, too much. I looked like a walking advertisement for Michael Hill. And red would be fine if I didn’t mind the Ronald McDonald look. Would you like fries with that?
Sexy party shoes that are pink perhaps? A bright, happy pair of pink pumps should get me noticed surely. But it was too much against the yellow and I would have to distribute sunglasses to my fellow party-goers if I went with this spectacular clashing of neon. And then I clicked…there was only one choice. The only sexy party shoes I should wear with my canary yellow party dress….was yellow!!! Tweet tweet.
