Men's Lingerie Buying Guide, Choosing Lingerie, Her Size & Colour
Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a Guide to Buying Lingerie – especially for you men out there wanting to buy Christmas presents for your women-folk this year. Let’s skip the usual chocolates and flowers routine…if you really want to impress the pants (ahem) off her, then get her the gift of lingerie. The gift that keeps on giving! Not only is it for her, it could ultimately be beneficial for you as well…nudge, nudge… wink, wink. But only if you do it RIGHT.
At the top of this Guide to Buying Lingerie is your first and most important strategic instruction: DO IT ONLINE. Unless you are some kind of expert (hardly) and spend a lot of time perusing ladies lingerie shops (as if), then get on the net and research the hell out of it first. Don’t waste time, your stress-levels and leg work on traipsing from shop to shop trying to wing it and hoping that the perfect little number will just leap out at you… she will love it… and you will be ‘thanked’ all night long. Yeah right. As soon as you walk into the lingerie shop the snooty, bossy sales lady will launch herself on you and will proceed to pressure (and embarrass) you into buying something you know is not going to be the winner. You have been warned!
The second point in the Guide to Buying Lingerie is that you must know your subject. Know her tastes, her colour preferences and above all… HER SIZE. Do you really want to risk giving her lingerie that is too big – she will immediately think YOU think she’s fat. Or giving her lingerie that is too small – SHE’LL think she’s too fat and that YOU wish she was smaller. Oh Lord kill me now. Do you really want to even go here? Rummage through her current lingerie drawer, check out the size thing and write it all down. Note for bras: they will require two measurements…the bra size and the cup size. It’s no good having one without the other so GET THEM BOTH. On second thoughts, it might be safer if you avoided the brassiere thing altogether. Any woman will tell you, she needs to actually try a bra on first and that each brand name can have different sizing, for the same size. Clear as mud?
Thirdly, in the Guide to Buying Lingerie….hang on, let’s just call it the Men’s Guide to Buying Lingerie and be done with it! Choose lingerie that is consistent with her personality. There is no point in presenting her with a raunchy, bone-lined corset and matching crutchless, latex panties, expecting her to tie you up and do wicked things to you…. if she is the shy, classical type. You know her personality so work with what you know. If she is cute and fun and likes pretty things, then perhaps a sexy lace camisole and matching thong or flirty babydoll lingerie might suit. If she’s the more adventurous, risqué sort then perhaps a sexy ensemble that includes garter and thigh high fishnet stockings, is the way to go.
But lastly, in the Guide to Buying Lingerie…. have fun! Giving the appropriate sexy lingerie will show her that you have put a lot of effort into your gift. And that could mean great rewards! Don’t forget to wrap it in a nice box and pretty bow so she can marvel at just how thoughtful you are. Oh and by the way, Brassiere is the proper name for a Bra (just making sure!).
